Guest guest
I wouldn't let one guy's opinions (mine) keep you from doing what you're doing! Personally, I have purchased many cookbooks when I've seen some interested recipes posted from any particular book that gives me a sense of the cook's approaches. Varying views from people as to what they think of the cookbook(s) are also useful. IMHO, the less mercenary cookbook authors who don't mind people judiciously posting some recipes with appropriate credit, may do better in the long run, and more sales generated (I think Bryanna Clark Grogan is the example, but then, she's so incredibly prolific). Anyway, about 2/3 of my collection came from direct purchase (retail) & used books stores (or sales!), and 1/3 given to me from various sources (authors, friends wishing to thin out their own collection, copies for review, etc.). IMPORTANT: It's clear that many people (been looking thru the archives) get a lot of inspiration and encouragement from this List, so PLEASE don't let my suggestion that recipes from other sources be credited, deter anyone from getting full benefit of this group! If it ain't broke..... Sorry if I confused matters. Best regards, Mark
