Guest guest Posted May 31, 2006 Report Share Posted May 31, 2006 Fig Chutney I saw this and typed it up for all the fig lovers, not tnt but knowing you all it will be soon lol 1 cup dried figs 1 teaspoon instant minced onion 1 can crushed pineapple, 8 ounces undrained 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 pinch cayenne 1 pinch ground cloves 1/3 cup cider vinegar 1/4 cup brown sugar Cut stems from figs and finely chop. In pan, combine figs and remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered stirring occasionally for 30 minutes, or until thick. Refrigerate overnight before serving to blend flavors. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
