Guest guest
It's grate to open the computer and see lots of replies written for me. I'm glad for all your suggestions. I may not have time for shopping and filling the house with veggan products but I think I can manage that at the weekend. I will try the sandwiches and beans with rice thing but I don't think someone will really care to make extra vegetarian meals in school as actually I haven't ever met a veggy student around me. Maybe I can prepare a veggy sandwich and bring that to school so I can see a proper thing to eat for lunch - that would be great!. I'll try some new things in a week (I have one exam for everyday this week!) and share them as soon as possible. Thanks for everyone. Guest guest
If you have any folks from India at your school, you'll probably find they are vegetarian. Also if the school knows there are vegetarians, they are more likely to offer alternatives. It is worth asking them. You could post something on the bulleting board also at your school. Pita Pockets make great sandwich bread. We always leave any wet ingredients out, such as tomatoes, lettuce, etc and put those items in a separate ziplock bag. We add them just before we eat the sandwich. It keeps the sandwich from getting soggy and gross. Do you have a microwave that they let you use at school? If so you could take all kinds of great leftovers to heat up or a potatoes to bake in it. Put your toppings in zip lock bags to add after you bake it. Take salads and chopped veggies and fruit. You could also fill a thermos bottle up with some hot soup to take with you. Campbell's makes many soups that are vegetarian. Guest guest
In the school system I mentioned, I only know of 2 vegetarian students. I know they don't cook separate meals, but maybe they give them extras on the veggies (which they normally wouldn't do) or a slice of cheese or something not on the menu. I'll try to find out how they handle it. , " Duygu " <duyguataman17 wrote: > but I don't think someone will > really care to make extra vegetarian meals in school as actually I > haven't ever met a veggy student around me.
