Guest guest Posted May 29, 2006 Report Share Posted May 29, 2006 Refried Beans 3 cans Kidney, Pinto or Black beans drained and rinsed 1 onion sliced into half moons 3 cloves garlic chopped 1 TBS Chile Powder 1/2 TBS Cumin powder Crushed Red Pepper flakes to taste oil Place oil in the hot pot, add onions saute until onions start to soften add garlic and continue to cook until onions are clear. Add chile powder, cumin powder and red pepper flakes. Mix so onions and garlic are well coated. Add beans mix well. As the beans are heating take the back of your spoon and mash beans against the side of the pot then stir, repeat until you have the consistency you like.
