Guest guest
I use vinegar if something spills on the carpet. If that doesn't work, nothing beats Oxyclean or another oxygen product. I don't know if Oxyclean is vegetarian though.;>)) GB Re: our continuing vinnegar talk When bathing I am a tub person, often after my bath I will drain the water, refill tub and add a cup of apple cider vinegar, makes a great soak and improves your ph. Guest guest
I keep a big spray bottle of vinegar in the kitchen to spray counters with. It's supposed to repel ants too. And if you burn something, you can spray a little to freshen the air. I also use it on fruits and veggies. I read that if you spray with vinegar, wait a minute, rinse, then spray with peroxide, wait a minute, and wash, you kill just about every germ like those expensive kits do. Either peroxide or vinegar kills most germs, but both used like this kill just about everything I read. But I keep the peroxide in its dark bottle. I had a smaller spray bottle and took the spray off that to use right on the peroxide bottle. People kind of wonder about the peroxide since it's not food grade but I figure if you wash it off anyway it shouldn't hurt. Plus what I read didn't specify food grade. Somebody told me since then it's better to soak produce in a weak bleach solution but I haven't tried that yet. I also sometimes add some vinegar to my all purpose cleaner that I use in another spray bottle. I use about a tablespoon of castile soap, about 20 drops or more of some essential oil for a big spray bottle (usually cinnamon, lavender, or something citrus), and maybe 2-3 T. vinegar, then fill it up with filtered water.
