Guest guest
Maybe this will help. I find that dried fruit and vegetables are the easiest to take in a back pack when I am away from home. Chewy, nutritrious, and tasty. At home when one's family does not follow the same diet , I have found that it is best to just get into the kitchen and experiment with the foods that are available and that you enjoy. If it is the custom of your family to sit down together to eat then I think you should enjoy that time with them but eat your own prepared food. I have family and friends who often say " gee that looks good, can I have a bite " . And they are often surprised to find out what is in the recipe. I have found that if I do not call attention to my being a Vegetarian hardly anyone notices.
