Guest guest
Mike, -I just found a new use for vinegar..Well 'new' to me anyway.- I have an indoor floor overflow drain. On occasion I could smell sewer odor. My landlord advised me to pour bleach in the drain. Well of course that works but bleach is not good for our water supply/enviornment so I decided to try white vinegar. It works wonders. So now I pour a capful into all the drains every day, including the garbage disposal. I still rinse my clothing, hair, and dishes in vinegar . Vinegar is a natural, safe way to remove soap residue. I refuse to own a dishwasher and try to wash most of my dishes with vinegar and warm water and air dry. I'm sure many of you use vinegar to clean glass, floors, tile, etc. If I need to scrub something that vinegar alone won't clean, I use baking soda. Baking soda will not scratch metal or tile surfaces and is perfect for cleaning the new stove tops. Safe and inexpensive. Wondering if any of you who have septic systems know that you can make your own mixture of yeast, sugar and yogurt to place in your drains to keep your septic systems healthy. The types that you can buy on the market are expensive and not safe for the environment. We did this for years when we lived in the mountain cabin. Have a safe and happy holiday Smiles and hugs Deanna - In , cd trader <realshows wrote: > > we just finished interviewing Pamela Johnson from > Readers digest - they just released a book called > " Extraordinary uses for everyday things " . there's 20 > pages just on vinegar.. but it covers everything - > even ketchup! > > I'm gonna read it, and post cool tips > > mike > > my trade lists > http://www.geocities.com/realshows > > > > >
Guest guest
When bathing I am a tub person, often after my bath I will drain the water, refill tub and add a cup of apple cider vinegar, makes a great soak and improves your ph. - genny_y2k Sunday, May 28, 2006 9:30 AM Re: our continuing vinnegar talk Mike, -I just found a new use for vinegar..Well 'new' to me anyway.- I have an indoor floor overflow drain. Guest guest
Questions concerning the use of vinegar. How does one use vinegar to clean old stains from carpets? Can vinegar be used to improve a garden? Concerning these two questions, does it matter what type vinegar is being used. ThankYou, StarLadyAstara - In , cd trader <realshows wrote: > > we just finished interviewing Pamela Johnson from > Readers digest - they just released a book called > " Extraordinary uses for everyday things " . there's 20 > pages just on vinegar.. but it covers everything - > even ketchup! > > I'm gonna read it, and post cool tips > > mike > > my trade lists > http://www.geocities.com/realshows > > > > >
