hospitals and schools...and pork rinds

Hi Donna - hope your mom is doing well.

 

I just wanted to mention that while I certainly agree with you that pork

rinds are a horrid thing to have in the cafeteria, they are not really

fat. They are the skin that is then deep fried.

 

There! Doesn't that make you feel better??? LOL

 

I have heard so many horror stories about the food in hospitals - on one

list there was a gal who was admitted who was a celiac. When she tried to

talk to the hospital dietitian, she was told " Oh, I know all about celiac

disease. " The very next morning for breakfast, her main food was a wheat

cereal.

 

And then there's the school cafeterias....oh, don't even get me started....
