I was just wanderiing, was there any problems being a vegetarian and

breastfeeding? And did your children grow up to be vegetarians also?

I hope I am not driving you all nuts lol.

Thank,Tabby

I had no problems breastfeeding my 2 kids as a vegetarian. I mean,

there are entire cultures that are largely vegetarian and they have

kids. ;-)

My eldest child is a carnivore. She LOVES meat. When she was four she

asked me, " why don't you eat the fish, mama? It's already dead! " HA.

My youngest child is mostly vegetarian. She really hates the idea of

eating meat, but eats it very rarely. When she was about 5 she was

eating a hamburger and she asked me where it came from. I said cow.

She said, does it kill the cow? I said yes. She said, no it doesn't!

I said, " ok. " :-) I never pushed vegetarianism on either of them and

played it pretty low key when they were younger. I feel like it's a

personal decision and I know how it can be a challenge at times, so I

want them to make that choice on their own.

When my husband was little, he wanted NOTHING to do wiht eating chicken, because

he loved animals...his mom had to tell him that Byerly's (the grocery store she

shops at) " makes " their chicken, so it was ok to eat.

;-D

although, he has no problem now...and every vegetarian dish i make he keeps

saying, ya know that would be SO good with chicken, or beef, in it.

*sigh* oh well. at least he does try everything i make!!
