Guest guest
Tabby, A vegetarian can get B12 from eggs and dairy products. A vegan does not eat these. They can get supplements. Also, B12 i s produced by the bacteria in the digestive tract. A healthy person's stool should float in water. This means the digestive bio-organisms are active and are producing the required nutrients and are extracting the nutrients from food. The stool should float because the body is extracting metalsfrom the food. Leaving the metals in the food makes the stool sink because they are heavier than water. Much of the remainder is celluose which is lighter than water. Feed the bio-organisms. GB hi, i am new here I hope to learn a lot from this group. I am not currently vegetarian but im interested in it. The only problem is I really like sea food and chicken. I hope no one is offended by this. The reason I started looking into vegetarianism is because my family and I are always sick, excpecially my kids and its driving me nuts. I want to live and eat healthier. Well I guess that is about it except I have one question, how do you get vitamin b12? I dont really want to take any supplements. Guest guest
> I was reading somewere about letting fruit ripen and when its really > ripe i mean really really ripe, it produces b12, does anyone else know > this or ever heard of this? I never heard of that but did a google search. Found one fruitarian reference mentioning it (due to the mircoorganisms on the fruit)... however, it seems likely that this would be highly unreliable, especially if you feel like washing your fruit when you get it home.
