I think your right they do not sound appetizing. I called my friend and sent him

the information he is trying to figure why they let the 10 lbs.of beans cross

the border.

He will not be cooking them.

I use Indonesian vanilla I do have a small bottle of mexican vanilla but its

cost me 15 dollars so it must be good.I use it for baking.

Hi Jack,

I saw these beans in the pharmacy in Yucatan, my bil's Dad was a pharmicist

there. I have no information on them or why they were in heaps in the store.

here's alink I found. I doubt after reading it, I would want to try eating

them.

-Please be careful using vanilla from Mexico. I have read that it is

flavored with Tonka beans. I am not sure there is a way to check as

the ingredients are not listed. Remember too that other countries

especially those in Central and South America use pesticides and

herbicides that are banned in the US.
