I am pretty sure it has a lot of saturated fats. GB cocoa butter DEnise R Helloooooo! As we all know that cocoa butter is the base of all good quality chocolate! Yum! I have a product that is from Now foods-love Now foods!!!!!!!!. It is 100% pure cocoa butter and no other ingredients. It is extremely hard and waxy, and can be melted in the micro or on the stove. I scoop out some in a container to keep as a skin conditioner and keep the left over in my kitchen ( dont want to confuse the two containers) ewww. The product specifies that it is food grade and cosmetic grade. I just do not know what to use it for in recipes! lawannasoul <lawannasoul wrote: I've only known cocoa butter as an aid for dry skin. Guest guest
Unfortunately very fattening. But, it is all natural, and my cholesterol is excellent. I am trying to make foods that contain no additives. I want to have an almost completely organic and natural diet as possible. It has nutritional value, and Now foods is a fair trade company. Some times if the foods I make do not sacrafice flavor due to a little more fat, then other people in my family will enjoy them also. My family has the misconception that vegetarian and vegan foods = no flavor. This would definately be a special occasion dessert treat! Thanks for the info! Any info is always appreciated!
