Guest guest
Dear Judy, I have never seen them killing a cat or a dog. This is because they are not " pack " animals(i.e. they hunt alone). In fact they don't like cats or dogs. I have seen a cat(under a parked car)attacking a fox with it's claws. The fox ran away as it got scratched on the face( I think it was the nose part that got scratched). I don't know what happens if a fox come face-to-face with a small dog. I am also curious here. My cats and dogs and they seem to not be bothered by each other, for which I am very happy. Have you ever seen them kill cats and dogs? I read several places that they won't go after them to kill them, because of all the noise they make. I bet they make a huge mess of the garbage bins there. Judy Dear Judy et all, We have foxes in London scavenging the bins for food every evening. They are really sly and full of courage. They are not afraid of dogs or cats. I have seen them leap over a 6ft fence with ease. We have a family of young foxes and their parents in our woods. I never knew they could make so much noise. We have keep wondering what all these night time screaming sounds were and what creature was making it. I can't sleep tonight because they are making such a racket outside. I decided that instead of a bird it might actually be the foxes making this sound and looked it up on the internet and found this link. It sounds just like them. http://www.vulpes.org/foxden/sounds/redfox-distress.wav I thought you might enjoy knowing what creature makes this sound.
