Guest guest
Our nursery manager has a 'life list' of birds he wants to see in the wild. He travels as far afield as he can to try and add birds to his list. He's got quite a lot of them. He is the one I mentioned in an earlier email that is married to a vegetarian so he is kind of veggie by default. I'll have to ask him about the swallow tails. I love the Kill-Deers, they are so pretty. I have no clue how they got that awful name. AmyF
Guest guest
Sometimes bird names are based on the noise they make -- do kill-deers sound like that's what they're saying? My auntie is our family birder. Twice now I've called her up and described a bird and she says what she thinks it could be and when I get home & check the bird book, she's always right!
