Guest guest
Judy, I have the exact one in white plastic with metal blades, it is wonderful and makes all types of shapes and thin or thick slices. I've had mine a bit longer, it's never worn out,. It does have a pick cast since I slice fesh beets and they stain. Mine is German made. I love that thing. I've owned one for 20 years and use it ALL THE TIME!!!. This is the one I use and replace when it wears out. http://www.epinions.com/Borner_V_Slicer_Plus_Mandoline__14___Cooking_Tools/displ\ ay_~latest_prices Which one do you like? Guest guest
I've had about 3 in 20 years. The teeth on the the finest teethed one, got loose over the years. I have an orange one and a white one. I think I've really only worn out one, but found one at a garage sale, still brand new for about $5 and snatched it up, in the anticipation of a need for it in the future. LOL I finally opened it one day, when one of the children put it " away " in a odd place that I never would of thought to have looked .They weren't home when I needed to use it and so I broke out the new one and use them interchangably. That is neat that you have the same one. I saw my first in a demonstration at a home show and had to have one immediately and the rest is history. : ))) Judy - Donnalilacflower Thursday, May 18, 2006 6:34 PM Mandolins Judy, I have the exact one in white plastic with metal blades, it is wonderful and makes all types of shapes and thin or thick slices.
