Guest guest
Hi everyone, I barely ever post on here, but this is by far my favorite list! So I thought I'd ask this of you all. My partner was just diagnosed with cancer (she's 23!), osteosarcoma of the right ulna to be specific and she will have to be undergoing chemo, then surgery, then more chemo, for about a year total, maybe more. We are both vegetarians, but she does eat a good amount of dairy and eggs. I was wondering if anyone who has been through chemo, or knows a fellow vegetarian who has gone through it, could email me privately and let me know how you (or they) dealt in terms of nutritional needs. I've been readin every " nutritional therapy " book and website I can get my hands on, and they all reccomend reducing or eliminating meat, so I am encouraged that we are already on the right track, but I'd love to talk to someone who has been through it or has been a caregiver for someone else going through chemo. Thanks. ~Rachael
