Guest guest
We could never be your friend... :-) LOL just kidding. As for why give it up for something that tastes just like it. I gave up meat immediately after passing a chicken truck on the road one day. I had been living with my husbad who had been veg for like 10 years already and had already given up pork because pigs are my favorite animals. We were on our way to Toronto and passed this truck in which 5 chickens were stuffed together into cages the size of a large shoebox. That did it I cried for like three hours about the injustice of it all and never looked back. I also like the idea that I am more healthy, saving the environment, and fighting against factory farming all at the same time. But that is just what is right for me. I hope you enjoy this group. Guest guest
Whitney, I followed a semi truck down a winding mountain pass and I could hear the cattle crying in fear. My heart broke and I cried for them. I was so sorry for the inhumanity of it all. Poor creatures had been taken from the grassy fields and loaded into a cramped two layer truck. When I think of the pain and fear these animals suffered it still hurts. The feed lots and cages are the same. While in Kansas this month I passed several huge feed lots and not only the smell was horrible but the poor creatures standing in that is more than I want as a memory.-- In , whitney <starrypryncess wrote: > > We could never be your friend... :-) LOL just kidding. > > As for why give it up for something that tastes just > like it.
