In digest #843, Vikki asked: " So...what cookbooks do you find

yourself reaching for again and again. I am looking to expand

my veg cookbook selection and would love some advice.

Also when you are cooking with, for, the kids what cookbook is

the one that is a hit over and over again. "

~ i use my 'Vegetarian and Vegetable Cooking' by Christine

Ingram. It is full of wonderful pictures [a picture next to each

of the recipes], and also has some very interesting recipes

i have not seen anywhere else. i like to try new things and

these recipes are not too complicated.

When cooking with my kids i have always enjoyed using a

set of three spiral bound cookbooks my Grams gave me called

Kids Cook by Company's Coming: ISBN 1-896891-43-8.

They are not vegetarian, but i find i can adapt easily many

of the recipes and they are very simple, have pictures and the

recipes are totally kid-friendly. :)

Go shorn and come woolly,

Bear the Beltaine female lamb,

Be the lovely Bride thee endowing,

And the fair Mary thee sustaining,

The fair Mary sustaining thee.
