Guest guest
Hello. I'm Lisa, I've been in this group for a couple of weeks but haven't posted. I have 3 kids and a boyfriend who all eat meat, though my younger two are getting in the habit of leaving whatever meat was cooked on their plate and eating everything else instead. (Happy me!) I have been vegetarian for about 17 years, but have never been in it for my health. I have pretty much lived on pasta, quasadillas & burritos, grilled cheese and the occasional store bought veggie burger. So, I don't have any recipes to share unless someone wants to know how to cook a grilled cheese in the toaster oven. I'm getting ready to try my first recipe from the group and have a question. I'm using " Slow Cooking Grains " from the crock pot section and am wondering if I should have soaked the grains? I know I used to soak beans before using them and also wondered if that is neccessary before crock potting them. I'm very impressed with all of the knowledge here, hope I don't drive anyone crazy with silly questions, but I am determined to get myself and my kids on a decent diet and this looks like a great place to start.
