Guest guest
Haven't had a chance to play with mint sugar ideas yet but I made some simple syrup for sun tea today and put 2 big springs of mint in with 1/2 c sugar & 1/2 cup water and nuked for a total of 5 minutes. Yum. More of a mint aftertaste than immediate taste but very good in lemon tea. I'm going to store the syrup in the fridge with 1 or 2 more sprigs of mint in for decoration (and so I can remember what's in the bottle lol), maybe it will get stronger. I took out the ones I nuked the syrup with because they got all wilty. Peace, Diane
Guest guest
Thanks for sharing Diane- it sounds interesting. That is the same syrup ratio I make for my lemonade. I have some lemons on hand- but no mint. Maybe I can find some today when I get for groceries. Not sure as it is autumn here- but I'll look.
