Guest guest
My Mom was the worst cook when it came to main dishes. I think I had an apron on at age 10 or 11 so I could learn how to make my own mashed potatoes and place canned green beans in the center. NOw there isnothing better than all her homemade breads and pastires, those put any bakery to shame. How about others? I taught my older nephew and Mya how to cook, now Mo is a whole different story, that guy will eat all our leftovers and recipes that don't come out and so will his buddies.......LOL Donna --- wwjd <jtwigg wrote: > My mom never cooked caseroles or anything thing > fancy and she never used cookbooks. Guest guest
There were a few cookbooks but I don't remember that Mom ever used one or does now. Everything in the house was Mexican food and mostly cooked in lard and she used a lot of pork. I would find myself trying to make salads and eat guacamole as as toppings for them. I have my family off lard and pork now so that is a big step in the right direction. If I make recipes from our files they go over big and I always leave the recipe. Casseroles are the easiest to take over. Kenia
