Guest guest
A few yrs. ago I had one of those horrible stone things in my kidney duct and it was trying to escape. Ouch ! The MRI showed it to be almost microscopic but the pain was at least a 9.. The urologist told me that 90+ % of all kidney stones are composed of calcium. Ugly, little sharp, barbed, crystalized things that sure hurt. Blood tests show that some people have too much calcium deposits in their blood and it is sluffed off into the kidneys. If one is not drinking enough water the nasty barbed stones get stuck in the kidney ducts instead of being passed through. How's that for a medical description? LOL Any medical person reading this please advise if I do not have this info correct. Anyway the doctor advised taking a potassium supplement, no calcium sup., and lots of water. Believe me I do not fail to follow his advise and it has worked for me. Smiles and hugs Deanna
