Hi Diane,

Thanks for your input for the m & p info search. :) Washing in soap and water-

what a novel idea! giggle. Seriously though- was thinking too fancy- of

course that would work- wouldn't it! I want to find an affordable grinder

too!

What a great idea to try the plastic bag with a rolling pin...I have one of

those! lol!

Yes- the mint sugar- since I haven't tried to make it yet I can't really

give quantities or anything of mint leaves to sugar ratio- but I was

thinking of using it in lemonade, or shortbread, or in more delicate

flavoured cakes or cookies.

You might try Jamie's website or a cookbook of his to see if he gives ideas

of ratios.... he does flavoured salts on one of the series that we saw here.

Bashes together savoury herbs and coarse salt - but uses it for sea-life

dishes I think it was. He saw it/learned it when he was in Japan one time

he said.

Sorry I can't be of more help than that- but if you get inspired and try it-

will you let us know how it goes??

(I was also thinking lemon peel and sugar.... btw)

Sharon in SA <who is thinking of getting her rolling pin and heavy zip bags

out right after lunch........)
