Glad it's not true. :)

I used to eat it raw from my grandmother's garden too

- when no one was looking - and so do lots of kids

with no ill effect. Not poisonous. Why grandparents

(and parents etc.) might not want kids to do this,

however, is because the stalks taste so sour and yet

the kids eat them AND if they can eat the sour stalks

they might eat anything - right? With rhubarb, this

could be a huge problem because the LEAVES are

poisonous.

Best love, Pat (who can take rhubarb or leave it)
