How exciting to start going through the digests from Friday through

today and find out all the suggestions about what my pot might be,

and ideas for what to cook in it! Thanks, Donna and Guru and

Kortney!

And then came the post from Angela with the name of what it was and

a picture very similar (even though metal.) Great detective work!

Thank you so much for posting the question on another of your

groups, Kortney--I found the info from Bryanna Clark Grogan and

Texas Vegan to be very interesting! for example, the region these

clay pots were made and some that the western potters copied were

glazed (as mine is inside.) Also plan to look up the wikipedia

section on it Texas Vegan mentioned.

And thanks to Kathryn also and her explanation of things cooked in a

hot pot and discussion of the open and closed top.

After reading these posts, I went to google with Chinese hot pot and

came up with the pictures looking very much like the one I have.

Thank you all so much who responded and solved this mystery for me!

I'm usually pretty good at searching, but I had turned up a blank on

this one!

I'm going to try to find something to cook in it with all this new

information at hand!
