Have you any idea how long aspertame has been used? I don't and was

shocked to read all the bad side efffects out there on it. Makes me

wonder how many times I've comsumed and not known.

Lee,

it has been around since the early 70's. I bought Dr. Janet Hull's book about

aspartame and it will keep you in tears!! Hearing her story and how the doctors

gave her a death sentence to a lady being a activist and loosing her life

because she almost was at the breaking point to getting this drug off the market

(she was murdered). By the way, the same person that owns aspartame also owns

the chemical Round-up. So I do not buy anything that I know he owns. He is

prospering from our poor health. If you are going to use a artificial

sweetener, use sweet n low. it has been around forever and has been used longer

in foreign countries. There has not been any documented cases of cancer caused

by it. Although, in America, it caused cancer in rats but it had to do with the

makeup of the rat (and we are not anything like rats :<) When you start your

research, you will find that article I am sure. I spent about a year studying

it.
