Guest guest
I don't know nearly enough about your situation to give you specifics but just general info. First you have to find out what's causing the depression. Alldrugs have side effects and I'm not going to argue with your doctor about not taking your antidepressant. That's up to you. You have to figure out when you get depressed. Is it at a certain tiem of day, season, month? After eating a certain food, doing a certain task (dusting, etc.)Are you allergic to certain allergins? To find out by taking tests, seeing a naturopath, I do it, and other healers do it. Is it caused by chemicals in your food, diet, etc. Candida is always a big concern with depression. Diet is one way to go depending on what is causing it. Others are ERT, NAET, hmeopathy. Probably even more important than diet is exercise. You can only go so far with diet. You will never see anOlympic athlete or a NFL lineman dieting him or her way to excellence. They do it by exercise and often by a bad diet. With a good diet, it is a lot easier. Often times yoga is good because it can focus on certtain systems or organs. It and meditation focus on the mind. To answer your question more directly, St. John's Wort and ashwangandha are often used for depression. A good general cleansing diet is fruits, nuts and veggies for 7 or more days. You can also have oils with salads and Yogi Tea. If you need more information, I do consultations but that would be offline. Good luck and let us know what works. GB anyone into alt medicine? I know this is mainly a recipie group (that I LOVE by the way!!), but I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good toxin flush or body cleanser. I decided to stop taking an antidepressant and return to natural options, but the antidepressant has horrible withdrawl symptoms. So I thought I would throw this out there hoping someone might be able to recommend food or herbal options. Gurubandhu If you cannot see God in all, You cannot see God at all. Guest guest
I use alternative medicine a great deal and credit it for avoiding surgery after a gall bladder attack 3+ years ago, bringing me into remission with chronic fatigue syndrom & fibromyalgia. My physician is very wise in the ways of alternative medicine and has connections with our local practitioners so I live in an ideal environment. I also practice meditiation & yoga, which help. When I got sick with chronic fatigue in 1987, I set out to get well. Physicians did not know what was wrong with me. I had to do it myself. My focus was on the right path for me to follow--after I went into remission circa 1990, my focus became more spiritual because that was really how I got well. That continues to be my path.
