Eiko, I've been strictly reducing my sugar intake, but I do allow myself some once every couple of weeks.... the other day DH & I found a new dessert place here, and they have amazing stuff. Anyway (and I can't believe I haven't posted this yet) - I had a chocolate cake layered with an intense green tea buttercream (it was definitely tea flavored, and barely sweet - yum!). It was topped with a fancy chocolate butterfly and toasted black sesame seeds, and served with a small scoop of black sesame seed ice cream! It was amazing. I think the ice cream you could make pretty simply by softening a good vanilla and stirring in ground toasted black sesame... then refreeze. Anyway, it was delicious! Guest guest
OH MY DROOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL. That sounds incredibly AMAZING!!! Refreezing ice cream is usually not a good idea...maybe softening just enough to stir in the seeds & serve immediately. Or just sprinkle them on top. Could you ask ask somebody from where you had it how it was made? Oh WOW, does that cake sound fabulous. I'm gonna make one. Thanks for the inspiration!!
