Guest guest
Maple Cereal Bars 1/2 cup maple syrup (or 1/4 cup corn syrup & 1/4 cup molasses) 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter 3 1/2 cups 0-shaped cereal such as Oatio's or Cheerios 1/2 cup raisins, dried blueberries or other dried fruit (optional) Mix together syrup and peanut butter in a saucepan. Cook over low heat until peanut butter and syrup have melted. When mixture is smooth, add cereal, and stir to coat. You may also wish to embellish the recipe by adding dried fruit. Press mixture into a lightly greased oblong pan, and let it cool. (You may need to refrigerate in order for it to harden.) When cool, cut into squares, and enjoy. Makes about 24 squares.
