I agree with you about the snobbery but please,

please, please my dear you must wear that seat belt!!

Back in the days when it was still optional my mom

refused to wear a seat belt and I often forgot. until

one sunday morning she and I set out in my car and the

hood came open - my step dad had replaced some leaky

hoses and the hood wasn't latched tight tho it looked

like it was. angels must have been with us 'cause

there was no traffic, we'd just pulled out of her

mobile home park so was only going 20-30mph. the

windsheild didn't break, was able to pull over with

mama watching for cars out the side-the hood totally

blocking my view. for a few seconds we just sat there

looking at each other without a word - all the horrid

things that could have happened running through our

minds and I said " Mama, from now on we always wear our

seat belts. " and she said " OK baby, you remind me if I

forget. " we always used 'em after that!

peas,

Angela

great grandma recycled, she called it making do.

who I am is fine, it's just this body that's disabled!

middle age = that time of life when we realize yesterday's sex, drugs and rock

and roll are todays memories, prescriptions and golden oldies!
