It truly is! Will probably read it again soon. I want to buy everyone I

know a copy, but unfortunately it would be wasted on more than a few. If only

people could understand the diet/disease connection. While my reasons for going

veg were ethical, the health benefits are an added plus.

My wonderful boss has just spent a year being treated for stage IV colon

cancer. Chemo, two major surgeries and now more chemo. She's doing remarkably

well and has a great attitude, but her doctor tells her to eat a lot of red meat

which literally brings tears to my eyes. :::Sigh::: while I never force my

vegetarian ways on anyone, it just makes me crazy that people can be so

uninformed when it comes to food choices.

Wow. I'm sorry for your loss, but you are so right. Meat sits in the colon

putrifing for 3 days before the body has broken it down to the point it can use

it. All the while all that putrify is in your colon and any cancer or other

things the animal may have had, is having plenty of time to gain entry into the

body's system.

Colon Cancer amoung vegetarians is very low. The Vegetarian diet passes right

on thru quickly, since it is easy for the body to break down and use, then

elimate the waste right away.

I am going to have to get this book. Thanks for the recommendation from both of

you.

TM,

I know what you mean. A little over a year ago, my mom went tot thehospital

and got an ankle replacement. Just after the surgery she got sick and they

found out she had a bowel obstruction. I told my brothers and sisters some

things that would help since they are all closer to her. She lost a lot of

weight (which she needed to do.) She decided she needed to gain the weight back

and is now eating a lot of ice cream. This makes it a full circle since ice

cream is one of the most constipating foods there is and constipation is the

thing that caused her problem in the first place. Anyway, I hope she enjoyed

it.
