Guest guest
Simple Vanilla Sugar This is a simple method of making vanilla sugar. To enhance the sugar, store it with one vanilla bean. 2 cups granulated sugar 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Blend the sugar and the vanilla extract in a bowl, then spread it on a tray lined with wax paper or plastic wrap and let it dry for 5 hours. Press out any lumps or sift through a strainer. Store it in an air tight plastic container. Makes 2 cs.
Guest guest
Vanilla sugar is a staple in my house - everytime I scrape a vanilla bean, I put the pod in the sugar jar. Often, there's an entire colony of pods in there! My neighbor loves it in her coffee.
