Guest guest Posted April 21, 2006 Report Share Posted April 21, 2006 Hi Delia, Welcome into the group. I don't ever place a weeks worth of meals out. I can tell you what a daily meal might be like. Cheerios with rice milk for breakfast, 10 am I might have a banana or apple or a 1/2 handful of raw mixed nuts, lunch is usually something left from the night before. Like a lentil loaf sandwich, maybe a few corn tortillas with some rice, beans and steamed veggies with slices of jicama and a small salad and I try to make a homemade dressing from the recipe files. Dinner could be anything like a casserole, pasta dish, I always make steamed veggies on the side. We have a lot of loaves and patties in the recipe files to go with casseroles and side dishes. I'm sure you won't be lacking any nutrients if you make sure you eat veggies, grains, beans, pastas, etc. I know when the 4 family members finally decided to join me their iron count went up, BP lowered, cholesterol did too. They were the m*at and potato and fast food eaters. Take a look in our recipes files under grains, salad, beans and see if you find any recipes that interest you.
