Just introducing myself!

I'm Katy and I'm new here, and to the vegetarian lifestyle! I toyed

with the idea for a few months a couple of years ago, and cut out all

meat during that time, but eventually ended up back eating like I

always did! The other day my husband told me that he really wanted to

stop eating meat!!! I was so excited! I didn't think I could ever get

him into the idea, let alone have him suggest it! We have been trying

to eat minimal meat this week, and will go full fledged on Sunday

I've been doing lots of reading and think I can do this! I have two

children, Alyssa who is 2 1/2 and Casten who is 5 months. I really

nervous about switching them. Not that it should matter, Alyssa

doesn't like meat anyway and usually won't eat it! Gotta love picky

eaters! Any advice or words of wisdom would be helpful...like where

the heck you buy tofu!!! I have no idea where to look for it at the

grocery store, and my search yesterday came up empty handed! Look

forward to meeting you all, and sharing some yummy recipes!!!

Hi Kay,

Wishing you much luck in your transition. Have you looked in the recipe files

yet? There's even a folder with recipes kids love.

It's really not hard to become a vegetarian nowadays, 25 years ago when I

started it wasn't easy at all, hard to even find a decent cookbook.

I'm sure you will enjoy the group and there are new recipes posted daily.
