Guest guest
These are good questions. The ifrst question is very controversial.. As it stands now,I think organic mainly refers to chemicals. The agribusinesses want organic to mean that but they want to allow animals being in close quarters, etc. The best example is Organic Valley, which is a farm cooperative. They have certain limits on how the animals are treated, etc. They are fighting Horizon Dairies because horizon wants to keep animals in close quarters. here's a link http://www.organicconsumers.org/organic/dairy2.cfm There is always a new " wonder food " ohn the horizon. Pomegranate is the poster child now. It does have lots of antioxidants. So do lots of other botanicals. Before it was Noni juice. It was promoted by at least one multilevel company. Some foods are better nutritionally. However, it depends on your " dosha " , metabolism, allergic response, etc. if you are adept, then you can always use a pendulum or muscle testing to find out what's best for you. Double check to see if you are getting good results. Even do double blind tests at first. GB OT questions Hi, Two questions I'm thinking this group will probably be able to answer. Sorry they're not recipe related. 1. When purchasing organic foods such as milk, cheese, whatever are the animals treated any better than the other animals used to produce the same products? I know organic is refering to chemicals etc but a co-worker asked me this question and I didn't have an answer. Your still eating animal products of course but I'm curious about the condition and treatment of the animals themselves. 2. There is a lot of hype about pomagranit juice lately being extremely healthy ie: cancer fighter etc. Does anyone believe all of this or done any independent research besides the company that is selling their product. It's very expensive. Thanks for any info. Samantha Gurubandhu If you cannot see God in all, You cannot see God at all. Yogi Bhajan Messenger with Voice. PC-to-Phone calls for ridiculously low rates.
