I'll send it to the spice group because when you cook the onions you can add some ghopped hot peppers, it's good that way also. Onion Crisp Casserole 5 large brown onions or Vidalia, peel and slice into rings 1 stick of butter ir margarine ( don't use the whole stick, about 3/4 of it Parmesan cheese Crisp buttery crackers like Hi Ho or Keebler, crushed optional-chopped hot pepper Saute the onions (and hot pepper if using) in butter until they are soft. Pour 1/2 the onions into 1 1/2 quart casserole, cover with parmesan cheese and then 1/2 the crackers. Repeat the layers and bake uncovered in 325 F. oven until golder brown, about 30 minutes.
