(1) 2lb can of black beans-well drained & rinsed (2) 1 large tomato or 3 small-diced (3) 1 medium onion or 3 green onions-diced (4) 2 to 3 tblsp balsamic vinegar + 2 to 3 tblsp virgin olive oil (you can adjust these proportions to taste (5) pinch of margoram (or to taste) (6) salt & pepper to taste combine above & let sit while cooking basmati rice to directions. after rice is cooled, " fluff it " with a fork & spoon a serving onto the plate & top with as much of bean salad as you wish. You can combine the beans & rice together if you are going to eat the dish immediately. I prefer combining it on my plate, but again, this is personal preference.
