Recipe: Nutritional Yeast Cheeze Sauce (vegan)

This is a classic that I used for years when I was vegan. Use it

over noodles, veggies, or potatoes.

 

BEST CASHEW CHEESE

 

Put in a blender:

 

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup raw unsalted cashew pieces

1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes (not brewer's yeast)

1 1/2 teaspoons vinegar

2 oz. jar pimentos, undrained

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon vegan Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon soy sauce or Bragg's liquid aminoes

 

Blend thoroughly. Store in refrigerator. Heat amounts as needed.
