question about pinto beans Shelly

I usually soak the beans overnight. Then I drain, put fresh water in a

dutch oven/soup pot and simmer uncovered on the stovetop. I add garlic

and jalapenos or serranos while they're cooking and salt at the end.

I'll have to try the crockpot. Do you presoak for that?

I don't presoak them, go to the neighborhood mercardo and see if they have

split dry pinto beans, I noticed those cook faster and retain a better color but

mine are always a nice pinkish brown shade so this should work.
