Sprinkle with soy or teriyaki sauce, if desired. 2 1/4 cups water 1 cup uncooked long grain white rice 1/4 cup chopped green onions 1 to 2 fresh red chiles, seeded and chopped 1 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro 1 tbsp. butter 2 tsps. minced fresh gingerroot 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. turmeric 2 tsps. fresh lime juice garnish; roasted peanuts crushed red pepper flakes In medium saucepan, combine water, rice, onions, chiles, cilantro, butter, gingerroot, salt and turmeric. Bring to a boil; stir once or twice. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Stir in lime juice; fluff with fork.
