I don't have this ine. Have you made many of the recipes? Now that's the one, two and three, isn't it? Guest guest
Hi Zena I just bought this cookbook last weekend. It was on the reduced tables at Borders books. It is one of those books that if it were a movie would go straight to DVD, IYSWIM. But it has lots of photos, incuding some pictures of the preparation stages of each recipe. It must have inspired me if I made 2 recipes from it already. It has 251 pages of recipes and photos with sections on Soups, Starters, Salads, Side Dishes, Light Lunches, Suppers and Special Occasions. The 2 recipes I have tried come from the Side Dishes section. It would be a good book for a beginner. The ingredients are given in metric and imperial with liquid measurements also in cups. It is The Cook's Encyclopedia of Vegetarian Cooking by Linda Fraser published by Hermes House. The third recipe I made this week came from a little book on steaming which I wouldn't particularly recommend as it has mostly non-vegetarian recipes - I just bought it to get some ideas on steaming. Brad, maybe this book would be good for your gift.
