Guest guest Posted May 30, 2005 Report Share Posted May 30, 2005 I love this bread. I tried it this morning with fresh white peaches. Very light bread, not dense at all. This bread isn't dense at all. Light and moist. " Fresh Peach Bread " 1/2 cup margarine or butter 1 cup sugar 3 eggs 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp.baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 2 cups thinly sliced fresh peaches 2 1/2 Tbsp. orange juice 1 tsp. vanilla extract Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 1 9X5 or 2 81/2 X 4 loaf pans Mix dry ingredients in medium bowl and set aside. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix after each addition. Add vanilla and mix. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with peaches, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Stir in orange juice. Pour batter into greased loaf pan(s) Bake one hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan on wire rack. Remove from pan and continue cooling.
