On the road tips ~ mel

Thanks for sharing your great ideas and those

wonderful potato salad recipes.

i have also used your idea of just stopping at

grocery stores for the veggies along the road.

One issue where i live are the state border fruit

and veg inspector stations; i live so close to the

California border. It is just easier to wait to buy

my veggies and fresh fruits there instead of having

to open up the cooler to prove to them that the

food is already inspected and store-bought.

am taking three big trips this summer...I know I am

doing the carrots, bag of grapes, and other easy to

eat while driving fruits and veggies.

I was thinking about keeping compact and stoping at

loads of grocery stores as we go along to get what we

need instead of buying it all before we leave. That

might also cut down on any waste.
