my

personal recipe card file box when i was

looking for the hand-written copy of my

rhubarb snack cake. i think i found it in one

of those church cookbook collections my

grandmother used to have. It is a delicious

way to use a crop of rhubarb.... i am glad i

rediscovered this one!

Almond Rhubarb Coffee Cake

2/3 cup vegetable oil

1 egg

1 1/2 cups chopped rhubarb

1/2 cup sliced almonds

TOPPING:

joy, and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-

scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry, more immortal
