Guest guest
Can you share the recipe... Or at least, how to use rhubarb. I've never used it! Thanks Denise, m
Guest guest
When I get home I'll grab the recipe to post. It was out of Vegetarian Cooking For Everyone and I sort of followed the recipe. I made it a lot smaller; but I'll post the original. I've eaten rhubarb plenty of times, but personally have not prepared it myself. I have two huge plants growing on my property, so I better learn how. Anyway, at the store, most likely it will already be ripe, but if you're growing it, then pick the stalks when they are red. For the crisp I just cut up 1/2 inch pieces and put it in raw with the apples. The thing with rhubarb is that it's very tart (and shouldn't be eaten raw), so you need lots of sugar or an accompanying sweet fruit. Strawberry rhubarb pie is also very popular. You can also cook it in a pot, add sugar as it cooks down and gets juicy. Denise , " melissa_hopp " <hoppmel@c...> wrote: > Can you share the recipe... > > Or at least, how to use rhubarb.
