Sweet & Spicy 3 cups cooked rice (white or brown) 1 8 oz. can crushed pineapple (drained) 2 tablspns. canola oil 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tsp. fresh ginger, minced 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes 1/4 cup soy sauce (lite) or tamari sauce 1/4 cup green onions, sliced Heat oil in skillet over medium heat and add garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 2 mins (stir). Increase the heat to medium high and add rice and soy sauce. Cook while stirring for 2 mins. longer. Add pineapple and heat through. Garnish with sliced green onions.and serve. * option* thin slices of water chestnuts are good in this dish also. " The afternoon knows what the morning never suspected. " Old Swedish proverb.
