Guest guest
First off Happy Saturday! I believe it's important for children to help cook in the kitchen. I still have my first little 1958 Betty Crocke'rs Cookbook for Boys and Girls. I was always in the kitchen with Mom. I taught my 2 nephews and niece to cook. The big burly married older nephew will still call me from out of stae and ask, now how do I keep the edges of my pie crust from burning or he will call from the grocery store and ask about a certain spice....LOL.Donna ~ PT ~ <patchouli_troll wrote: Nice! We will explore this site more. i am always trying to find recipes for my children to cook. i have added home economics to my children's homeschooling.... on the sly. Each week i am asking my daughter and son to plan and fix a meal for the family. The perk is they can invite a friend to help eat it. We should add this link to our links section. ~ pt ~ Every act of conscious learning requires the willingness to suffer an injury to one's self-esteem. That is why young children, before they are aware of their own self- importance, learn so easily; and why older persons, especially if vain or important, cannot learn at all. ~ Thomas Szasz, author, professor of psychiatry (1920- ) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~> thelilacflower> wrote: > I found this while I was searching for something else.
