Maple Walnut Cookies (recipe post)I love to eat these frozen :-))))) > GeminiDragon <thelilacflower > > > 3/4 cup Crisco or Butter flavored Crisco > > What exactly *is* CRISCO?? I remember I tried to bake a pie with a recipe that I found on-line (to be specific: I tried to bake " The TWIN PEAKS cherry pie ) and it had crisco in it, but I wasn't able to find out what it was (tried dictionaries, on-line searches, etc..) Ended up " deciding " it is some kind of fatty substance so I think maybe I replaced it with some sort of butter..? which didn't really work out well.. thanks for your replies Ragnhild --------------------------- Få din egen @start.no-adresse gratis på http://www.start.no/
Guest guest
Crisco is a brand name for a solid vegetable shortening. It comes in regular and better flavor. It's like lard only made from vegetable. It is extremely high in Trans Fats (BAD) but they do have a trans fat free version now. Candace.
