Hi Shawn, this is my girlfriends recipe and she makes it all the time. I

haven't tried it yet. You might want to give it a go since it appears to be

spicy and I know she loves hot food. I don't know of anyone eating the shell so

I don't know if it's bitter ,etc. I have never heard.....You're welcome

DonnaChili Roasted Edamame These can be served hot as a side dish or cooled as a

snack or appetizer.

12 ounces frozen edamame, shelled (green soybeans) 2 teaspoons olive oil 1/4

teaspoon dried basil, crushed 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1/4 teaspoon onion salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cumin 1/8 teaspoon paprika 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Stir together the oil, basil, chili powder, onion salt, cumin, paprika and

black pepper in a small bowl.

Toss the beans in the spices and oil until well coated.

Arrange the beans in a single layer on a cookie sheet.

Roast, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring once, until

the beans begin to brown.

Refrigerate any leftovers.
