Guest guest
Your chili mac sounds great and eay also. I'll try it. My recipe served 4 and it called for everythig doubled but i thought that was way too much. I was afraid my nephew and his buddy wouldn't like it but they hogged it right down. When I posted the recipe I did the 4 serving amount since that is usually fitting for most households T I rescued a little for my lunch tomorrow. Just double the recipe if you need more. melissa_hopp <hoppmel wrote: This sounds good...I was looking for something different for Friday, think I found it! I love spinach!! How many did this feed? Tonight I made an old stand by that everyone likes (rarity), chili mac or chili fusilli (depends on which noodles I've got). I switched it up a bit and it was still a hit...I don't measure much when I cook... Saute an onion and stalk of celery, I like them chopped real fine, but you may want yours chunkier & you may want to add peppers. Add in some cumin, oregano, cilantro (garlic if you choose). Usually I add plain fake ground, this time I used Light Life Sausage, it comes in a tube and you can slice it or crumble it...I crumbled it. The sausage added a nice zing, but not too much, my guy that doesn't care for spicey ate lots!! Then add some tomatoes (flexible...ya need at least 2 15 oz cans, you can use chunks or puree or a combo or even fresh) and add a can or two of beans, kidney, pinto, black...whatever. If you need to stretch it or want it thinner, add some veggie broth - I usually add a cup. Now just stir in the pasta you should have already started - the kids love chili fusilli, macaroni noodles were in the original recipe. Make it as noodly as you prefer. m
